Champions for Healthy Kids Grants

The Champions for Healthy Kids grants program is a partnership among the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation, the General Mills Foundation and the President's Challenge. Since 2002, more than $4 million have been provided for innovative youth nutrition and fitness programs.

Through this grants program, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation helps extend the work of RDs and DTRs. The grassroots grants provide an opportunity for an RD or DTR to work with a non-profit organization and apply for funding.

Each year the Champions program will award 50 grants of $10,000 each. The 2011 deadline is December 15, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. (Central). More information and access to the online application (available November to January) is available at the General Mills Champions for Healthy Kids website.
