Publishing Instructions

Are You Considering a Book Publishing Project?

We in the Book Publishing Group at the American Dietetic Association would be happy to talk with you about your project idea.

We suggest you contact Laura Pelehach, at lpelehach@eatright.org and ask her to send you a proposal application (or you can use the proposal form on this site). The application will help you really think through your project idea before you commit time and energy to its creation. After answering the questions in the proposal form, you can:

• Call ADA's acquisition editor or publisher to talk about the project and get our feedback. Is the scope appropriate for the topic? Does it really serve the target market? Is the plan practical and feasible? Are the sales opportunities sufficient to support the project?

Or

• Complete the proposal form and send it to lpelehach@eatright.org. Please be sure you include a proposed table of contents and, if possible, either a sample chapter or a writing sample, as well as author bios, etc.

We will make every effort to respond to your proposal within six to eight weeks. We look forward to working with you on future ADA publishing projects.
