American Dietetic Association Foundation names 2003-04 Board Of Directors

CHICAGO - Four national authorities in clinical nutrition, philanthropy and the foodservice industry have been named to the 2003-04 American Dietetic Association Foundation Board of Directors.

The board, which took office June 1 and will serve until May 31, 2004, is responsible for strategic planning, policy development and fiscal management for the Chicago-based ADA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the American Dietetic Association. ADA is the nation’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals. The ADA Foundation’s new 2003-04 directors are:

Margaret Bogle, PhD, RD, Little Rock, Ark. Bogle is executive director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Nutrition Intervention Research Initiative, which works with residents of poor rural counties in three states in the Mississippi River delta.

Barbara K. Brandt, Columbus, Ohio. Brandt is president of Barbara K. Brandt Philanthropic Consulting Services.

Gilbert A. Leveille, PhD, Wayzata, Minn. Leveille is vice president for technology and food system design at Cargill Inc.

Joan Rector McGlockton, Chevy Chase, Md. McGlockton is vice president for corporate affairs at Sodexho Marriott Services Inc.

In addition, Al Cassady of Evansville, Ind., who was the ADA Foundation Board’s chair-elect in 2002-03, will serve as chair in 2003. Cassady is associate director of professional services and medical exhibits at Mead Johnson Nutritionals.
