March 2005 is National Nutrition Month®

New York, NY—Executive Health Exams International (EHE), the leader in preventive healthcare for over 93 years, is proud to announce its support of the American Dietetic Association’s (ADA) 2005 National Nutrition Month® campaign, which focuses on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits. To support the campaign, EHE has donated its 115 square foot display window at 10 Rockefeller Plaza to ADA for the month of March.

“Nearly one-third of American adults are obese, putting them at increased health risk for heart disease, type-2 diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, and cancer. Poor eating habits and low physical activity levels are two of the most controllable factors that contribute to obesity,” stated Deborah McKeever, president of Executive Health Exams International “Studies show that small changes in lifestyle choices can add up to big results. For example, individuals with an above-normal body mass index can dramatically reduce their risks by losing just 10 pounds. That is why it is so essential that we educate Americans about the importance of eating right and regular exercise.”

“We are proud to unite with the American Dietetic Association to promote education and understanding about the importance of eating a healthy eating and regular physical activity,” says Ms. McKeever. “We hope that everyone who passes through Rockefeller Center this month will learn from the display and will make healthy lifestyle choices a priority for the New Year.”

“The American Dietetic Association is extremely grateful to Executive Health Exams for the opportunity to spread our messages of healthy eating and regular physical activity to the over 7.5 million individuals who will pass through Rockefeller Center this month,” said registered dietitian Cathy Nonas, spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association. “In addition, March is a great time to schedule an appointment with a registered dietitian to review your current eating and exercise habits and make changes that might be right for you.”
