American Dietetic Association Foundation Names New Directors for 2005-06

CHICAGO -The American Dietetic Association Foundation has named four new members to its Board of Directors for 2005-06. The entire 13-member board is responsible for strategic planning, policy development and fiscal management for the Chicago-based ADA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the American Dietetic Association. The Foundation’s new 2005-06 directors are:
- Harriet H. Cloud, MS, RD, FADA, Birmingham, Ala. Cloud is the founder of Nutrition Matters, a pediatric consulting firm and professor emeritus in the department of nutrition sciences at the University of Alabama - Birmingham.
- Robert W. Langholz, JD, Tulsa, Okla. Langholz’s late wife Edna Page Langholz, RD, was president of the American Dietetic Association in 1981-82.
- Alicia Moag-Stahlberg, MS, RD, Skokie, Ill. Moag-Stahlberg is executive director of Action for Healthy Kids, a nationwide collaboration of more than 50 national organizations and government agencies and more than 4,000 volunteers comprising 51 state teams.
- Allie Niemann, St. Paul, Minn. Niemann is vice president of industry relations at Ecolab Inc., a developer and marketer of cleaning, sanitizing, pest elimination, maintenance and repair products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets.
In addition, Barbara K. Brandt, Columbus, Ohio, will serve as the ADA Foundation Chair for 2005-06. Brandt is the president of Barbara K. Brandt Inc., which provides philanthropic consulting services for corporations, foundations and nonprofit organizations.
The American Dietetic Association Foundation is a 501(c)3 charity devoted exclusively to nutrition and dietetics.
