CHICAGO – The American Dietetic Association brings the world of food and nutrition to the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, September 29 to October 2.

From the latest nutrition science research to developments in national health policy and legislation, ADA’s 2007 Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo offers cutting-edge news on children’s nutrition, food labeling, dietary supplements, disease prevention and more.

ADA’s annual conference represents the world’s largest gathering of food and nutrition experts – 10,000 registered dietitians, policy makers, health-care providers, researchers and industry leaders. They will attend more than 100 research and educational presentations, lectures, debates, panel discussions and culinary demonstrations.

More than 300 exhibitors from corporations, government and nonprofit agencies will showcase new food products, professional services and nutrition education materials.

Highlights of ADA’s 2007 Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo include:

  • Opening Session on Saturday, September 29, with remarks by registered dietitian and
    ADA President Connie B. Diekman and Chief Executive Officer Ronald S. Moen, and the Keynote Address by author and leadership consultant Jackie Freiberg.
  • Expo Hall opens Sunday, September 30.
  • ADA’s Research Symposium on Tuesday, October 2, on “Frontiers of Dietetics: Sleep, Insulin and Obesity.”
  • Member Showcase on Tuesday, October 2, features author Marcus Buckingham speaking on “The One Thing You Need to Know.”
