American Dietetic Association Foundation Names New Directors for 2007-2008

CHICAGO – The American Dietetic Association Foundation has named four new members to its Board of Directors for 2007-2008. The entire 13-member board is responsible for strategic planning, policy development and fiscal management for the Chicago-based ADA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the American Dietetic Association.

The ADA Foundation’s new 2007-2008 directors are:

  • Mary Beth Arensberg, PhD, RD, LD, FADA, Columbus, Ohio, director of health policy and programs at the Ross Products Division of Abbott Laboratories.
  • Joyce A. Gilbert, PhD, RD, LD, Silver Springs, Fla., owner and president of a food management consulting firm.
  • Diane W. Heller, MMSC, RD, LD, Marietta, Ga., a nutrition consultant for corporations, schools and physicians.
  • Martin M. Yadrick, MS, MBA, RD, FADA, Los Angeles, Calif., director of nutrition informatics at Computrition Inc. and the 2007-2008 president-elect of the American Dietetic Association.

Current ADA Foundation Board member Susan Calvert Finn, PhD, RD, FADA, Columbus, Ohio, will chair the Foundation’s board for 2007-2008. Finn is chair of the American Council for Fitness and Nutrition and the retired director of nutrition and communications at the Ross Products Division of Abbott Laboratories. She served as the 1992-1993 president of the American Dietetic Association.
