CHICAGO – The American Dietetic Association, the nation’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, announced June 4 that PepsiCo has become an ADA Partner. The Partner program is ADA’s new corporate relations sponsorship structure, providing Partners a national platform via ADA events and programs with prominent access to key influencers, thought leaders and decision makers in the food and nutrition marketplace.

PepsiCo will work with ADA to develop consumer and professional education programs, tackle nutrition research questions, and engage in frequent dialogues to ultimately make a positive difference on public health through improved product choices and the adoption of healthful active lifestyles.

“As the nation’s food and nutrition experts, registered dietitians play a key role in providing credible, science-based, nutrition information to the public,” said registered dietitian and ADA President Connie B. Diekman. “ADA is looking forward to working with PepsiCo to create innovative consumer education programs that will improve the health and nutrition of the public.”

“PepsiCo is committed to playing a responsible and constructive role in health and wellness.  Our partnership with the American Dietetic Association underscores our common commitment to helping people make informed food choices as part of a healthy lifestyle,” said Nancy R. Green, Ph.D., Vice President, Nutrition and Health and Wellness Policy, PepsiCo.
