CHICAGO – The American Dietetic Association, the nation’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, announced on April 2, 2007 that ARAMARK, one of the world’s leading food services and facilities management companies, has become an ADA Partner.
The Partner program is ADA’s new corporate relations structure, providing Partners a national platform via ADA events and programs with prominent access to key influencers, thought leaders and decision makers in the food and nutrition marketplace. ARAMARK is currently the only professional services company to be an ADA Partner.
ARAMARK will work closely with ADA to develop joint consumer education programs that will inform and educate the health professional community, promote ADA members and make a greater impact on the public’s health when dining out.
“ARAMARK and the American Dietetic Association are both committed to ensuring food services provided to people in all walks of life are safe, nutritious and of the highest quality,” said registered dietitian and ADA President Judith Gilbride. “Through the ADA Partner program, ARAMARK and ADA will be able to work together more closely to develop initiatives that meet our common goals and improve people’s health and nutrition.”
“ARAMARK is one of America’s largest employers of dietitians, and has enjoyed a long history with the American Dietetic Association,” said Andrew Kerin, President, ARAMARK Domestic Food, Hospitality and Facility Services. “This expansion of our partnership further strengthens our commitment to providing nutrition education and healthy dining programs for the consumers we serve.”
