Qualifications
Any person who has earned the appropriate degree, meets academic requirements specified by CADE, and meets one or more of the following criteria:
- Is a registered dietitian, dietetic technician, registered or has established eligibility to write the registration examination for dietitians or dietetic technicians administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Has completed a baccalaureate degree or a supervised practice program (dietetic internship, coordinated or AP4 program) accredited by CADE
- Is an active member in Dietitians of Canada
- Has earned either a master's or doctoral degree conferred by a regionally accredited college or university and who holds one degree (baccalaureate, master's or doctoral) in one of the following areas: dietetics, food and nutrition, nutrition, community or public health nutrition, food science or foodservice systems management
- Has completed an associate degree program for dietetic technicians approved by CADE.
Rights
- Vote in national and Affiliate elections
- Hold elected and appointed positions at national and affiliate levels as designated by the House of Delegates.
