October 20, 2004 Grabbing a quick snack can help stave off hunger. But if you find you’re choosing less-than-healthful options, your snacks could leave you feeling guilty, too. Small frequent meals help control hunger and overeating and they make it easier for you to consume all the nutrients your body needs. Make snacks count by choosing foods that will help you get the recommended servings from the Food Guide Pyramid. Good in-between meal options contain carbohydrates and protein.
