Menu Terms That Can Mean More Fat and Calories:

  • Batter-fried
  • Pan fried
  • Buttered
  • Creamed
  • Crispy
  • Breaded

Menu Terms That Can Mean More Sodium:

  • Cured
  • Barbequed
  • Smoked
  • Teriyaki
  • Pickled
  • Marinated

These terms are no guarantee, so ask questions of your server or chef, and always practice portion control.
