Certificate of Good Standing

The purpose of a Certificate of Good Standing is to ensure that your affiliate is in compliance with filing documents and paying annual registration fees. The certificate should be current to ensure that your most recent annual report is on file, and that articles of dissolution have not been filed.


The Certificate of Good Standing may be available through the Secretary of States Office, the web site of your Secretary of States Office, the Internal Revenue Services, or through the services of LexisNexis Document Services. Each state differs in the process, ease, and cost of retrieving these documents.
