Final Phase 2 Future Practice & Education Task Force Report
- The Phase 2 Future Practice & Education Task Force has revised its final report based on the recommendations approved by the House of Delegates.
- The Task Force felt it was important to have the final report reflect the outcome of the HOD dialogue and vote. The document now reflects the perspectives of the HOD dialogue.
- You are encouraged to share the link to this final report for future reference: www.eatright.org/ada/ada/files/Final_Task_Force_Report_July_15_08_FINAL.pdf
HOD Leadership Team Retreat
- During the HLT Retreat, July 10 to 13, 2008, we discussed the Phase 2 Future Practice & Education Task Force recommendation #1, which directs the establishment of a formalized unit within HOD to address four key areas (on-going visioning process; identify/monitor emerging practice roles; collaborate with CADE, CDR, DPGs and other organizational units; and, oversee the implementation/evaluation of the Task Force recommendations).
- As a result of our discussions, we have requested more information from ADA staff to help us formulate the charge and composition of this unit. We hope to provide you and members with more information about this new organizational unit in fall 2008. In addition, we will be soliciting the names of potential candidates to serve on this new organizational unit.
- In addition, we worked hard on developing plans for the Fall HOD Meeting. We took into consideration the comments you shared with us during the Spring Meeting and the feedback found in the HOD Meeting Evaluations (see Speaker Message #4, posted on July 8, 2008).
- We also added several sessions to the Fall Meeting Agenda, selected Table Facilitators for our HOD meetings and obtained additional training for facilitating our meeting in the fall.
- Overall, it was a productive retreat.
