What Do You
Need to Know?		 Overall, the feedback on the Spring HOD Meeting was very positive. As a result of your feedback, some of the enhancements we’ll be making at future meetings include:
  • At the Spring HOD Meeting, include the passing of the gavels and transition of leadership to the Saturday evening celebration;
  • More clearly articulate the relevance of the Mega Issues and why they were selected;
  • Continue to offer materials on flash drives;
  • Investigate making power strips available so meeting participants can utilize personal laptop computers.

Spring 2008 HOD Meeting Evaluations

  • During all HOD Meetings, delegates and meeting participants are requested to complete a meeting evaluation, which is included in the on-arrival meeting packet.
  • We would like to thank delegates who took the time to complete the evaluation last spring, since this input is very valuable to us.
  • The purpose of soliciting input on the meeting evaluation is to identify problems and issues experienced by delegates and participants, along with learning about the positive aspects of the meeting.
  • The HOD Leadership Team utilizes the feedback provided to determine changes for the next meeting. Also, HLT uses this input to consider new and unique ways for conducting future meetings. This has proved to be an invaluable evaluation tool for HLT over the years.
  • At this time, the HLT is releasing the consolidated results of the Spring HOD Meeting evaluations to demonstrate our support of transparency.

Reminders

  • Watch for the two HOD Backgrounders and Delegate Toolkit to be posted to the HOD CoI and ADA Web site on Wednesday, July 30, 2008.
  • The topics for the Fall HOD Meeting (October 24 and 25, 2008) are: Nutrigenomics and Nutrition Informatics.
  • If you have not made your travel arrangements for the Fall HOD Meeting and FNCE, we encourage you to do so at this time. For more detail, please review Speaker Message #1 posted on June 10, 2008 to the HOD CoI and the ADA Web site.
