Professional Development Committee Report Spring 2008

2008 Leadership Institute
The 2008 Leadership Institute will be held June 19 to 22 in Henderson, Nevada. An estimated 275 current and incoming ADA member leaders from state affiliates, DPGs, the House of Delegates, committees, CADE and CDR will be in attendance. A new Leadership Institute Web site at www.eatright.org/leadershipinstitute was designed and implemented this year, which included a new leadership blog list and a direct link to the open nomination process for ADA members interested in attending. The online process was offered for the fourth year and resulted in 75 applicants; a 226% increase over previous years. A total of 53 applicants were accepted by the Professional Development Committee (PDC) and Nominating Committee. The following topics and speakers will be featured at the Institute:
