Appointment of Emergency Preparedness Task Force
- The Emergency Preparedness Task Force has been appointed with the following individuals selected to serve:

John Krakowski (NY) - The charge to the Task Force is as follows:
- Create a template identifying key resource agencies (federal and state agencies, non-governmental agencies) which provide contact information (web sites, phone numbers). Identify roles of RD and DTR in working with these agencies/organizations. This type of information will provide members with an opportunity to identify the resource agencies in their local communities; encourage members to contact them to offer assistance to their efforts.
- Develop a tip sheet/information tool to illustrate the possible roles of RD and DTRs at the national, state, institutional and community levels including references to policy development and action as a resource for consumers.
- Identify educational opportunities (CPE) for development by ADA and/or affiliate dietetic associations or DPGs; create a centralized listing of CPE offerings from other organizations and agencies on safety of food and water during an emergency for members.
- Identify educational resources available for both professional and consumers for use by members (ADA and other organizations/agencies including their Web sites).
- Watch for future Task Force reports on its progress to address the charge.
