Dietitians must be familiar with the tools used for nutrition screening for both acute care and long-term care. Nutrition screening tools that have been adequately validated are necessaryin today's healthcare environment, with the focus on evidenc based medicine. Speakers will discuss the appropriate tools to be used in various patient/client populations. The differences betwen nutrition screening and nutritional assessment will be reviewed.
