The American Dietetic Association is pleased to present another live, interactive teleseminar!
Event code: 13772

Thursday, December 11, 2008
2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Eastern)
1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Central)
12:00 p.m. noon to 1:30 p.m. (Mountain)

This teleseminar will help cut through the confusion on diet, physical activity and cancer prevention and outline the very latest research findings on the connection between diet and disease.  Hear the differences between basing messages and lifestyle choices on individual studies compared with a systematic review of the literature with strict research criteria.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the diet and lifestyle factors most strongly linked to cancer risk.
  • Identify and explain dietary recommendations to lower cancer risk.
  • Develop key messages for patients, clients and the general public that explain the eating and lifestyle choices most important to lower cancer risk.

 Presenters:

  • Steve Clinton, MD, PhD, Professor, Division of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine, Ohio State University School of Medicine and Public Health, Columbus
  • Karen K. Collins, MS, RD, CDN,  Nutrition Advisor, American Institute for Cancer Research, Washington, DC, and Nutrition Consultant in private practice
