Dietetic Practice Group #54
Visit our Web site: www.researchdpg.org
The Research Dietetic Practice Group’s mission is to lead the future of dietetics by promoting the conduct and application of research related to food, nutrition and dietetics. Our members are the most valued source for conducting, interpreting and applying research. Accordingly, members are employed in a wide variety of settings, including academia, governmental agencies, non-profit research entities, private industry and clinical and translational research centers. Many members are involved in cutting-edge food and nutrition research projects sponsored by ADA, including the Evidence-Based Analysis Library and Position Paper authorship and reviews. The DPG has a liaison to the Dietetic Practice-Based Research Network and Research Committee of the American Dietetic Association.
Members lead and support nutrition research around the world. Their work is seen in the depth and breadth of research articles published regularly in scientific journals. RDPG dietitians help interpret findings to the public.
We offer a reduced membership fee for students who would like to do networking with the researchers they read about in their class. This RDPG offers the opportunity for them to ask questions from experts about their graduate research projects. In addition, the RDPG provides contacts and job opening announcements for students who may be interested in continuing in nutrition research after graduation.
