Members of Management in Food and Nutrition Systems are managers of food, nutrition and other services who work in a variety of settings: healthcare, college and university, corrections, long term care, hospitality, business, retail, industry and education. We combine management expertise with knowledge and skills in:
- Food science and safety
- Food service systems
- Financial accountability
- Nutrition in health and disease
- Quality assurance and continuous improvement
- Directing and integrating food and nutrition services
Through menus and services we are the link between our customers and their health and nutrition. The objectives of MFNS are to:
- Provide opportunities for networking and continuing professional education
- Share information nationally and regionally
- Proactively influence legislation and regulatory agency requirements
- Provide tangible membership benefits
- Identify and recognize member achievements
- Improve the visibility of the management and dietetic practitioner
- Seek membership involvement in proposals and research relating to practice
