ADA Times Editorial Policy
ADA Times provides information and inspiration to empower members of the American Dietetic Association to be the most valued source of food and nutrition services. ADA Times strives to address the needs of the Association’s diverse membership through articles on a wide range of practice areas and interests of members, while remaining engaging and accessible to a broad spectrum of readers. To this end, ADA Times publishes practical application articles, events and resources for professional development and opportunities for ADA members to influence public health and policy. It also serves to encourage all ADA members to become active volunteers and leaders within the Association.
ADA Times welcomes submission of the following types of articles:
- Emerging trends affecting the profession;
- Brief highlights of nutrition research and new resources;
- Members’ professional experiences, insights and ideas;
- Updates on public health issues and public policy initiatives related to nutrition;
- Recent or upcoming events or opportunities that benefit ADA members and the dietetics profession;
- Announcements of Association programs, benefits and services.
Publishing, editorial and placement decisions are based on the editors’ judgment of potential interest to readers, timeliness of the topic and quality of writing. Editorial content of ADA Times is not influenced by private or industry sponsors, advertisers, donors, partners or collaborators. ADA Times adheres to the ethical standards set forth by the American Society of Magazine Editors Guidelines for Editors and Publishers, which serve to prevent advertisers or sponsors from compromising editorial integrity and independence.
