Tip of the Day
Earn an A in Vision Nutrition
Vitamin A is essential to the health of your eyes, and promotes normal vision by helping you see in the dark and adjust to the lower level of light. In fact, not consuming enough vitamin A can cause night blindness and other eye problems.
In celebration of Healthy Vision Month, and most importantly, for the health of your eyes, eat a variety of foods high in vitamin A, including:
- Sweet potatoes
- Turnip greens
- Romaine lettuce
- Red bell peppers
- Fat-free milk fortified with vitamin A
