Tip of the Day
Support Group
Holiday get-togethers have already started and women everywhere are getting together with their best girls to celebrate the season. The go-to idea for your ladies' get-together is most likely a high-calorie dinner out, but it doesn't have to be. Try these alternatives:
- Bond with your friends by taking an exercise class together. There are so many fun classes to choose from now, from dance fitness to trampoline aerobics!
- Get together for dinner at home and everyone bring a recipe they have made over to cut fat and calories.
- Have a baking party and package the baked goods and donate to local food pantries, homeless shelters and/or to thank your local firefighters and police officers.
If you do still want to enjoy a dinner out on the town, consider ordering appetizer-size options or sharing a few entrees at the table. Be each other's best cheerleaders and encourage one another to eat healthier and stay active.
