Tip of the Day
Do a Little Fooling This April Fools' Day
This April Fools' Day, pull some "nutritious pranks" and make nutrition fun by offering your children a few surprises.
Try these ideas:
- Un-Drinkable Drink
Prepare a tall glass with sugar-free gelatin mix. Put a straw in it and place in the refrigerator. When it's ready to serve to your kids, watch them try to drink their beverage before offering a spoon. - Green Eggs and Ham
Add a few drops of green food coloring to scrambled eggs. - Rotten Apple
Use a corer to cut a small hold in the side of an apple. Put a gummy worm in the hole. - Flower Pot
Prepare a low-fat chocolate pudding in a bowl and layer the top with crumbled chocolate cookies. Then place a well-cleaned and disinfected fake flower in the center so that it appears to be a potted plant rather than a dessert.
