Tip of the Day

Stop Eating When You Are Satisfied

For the last weeks of National Nutrition Month, "Get Your Plate in Shape" and take a closer look at how much you are eating for each meal. Try some of these tips to avoid overeating:

  • Eat slowly. If you are normally a fast eater, relax and make sure to chew your food thoroughly.
  • Stop a quarter of the way through your meal and check your hunger level.
  • Remember that you do not have to clean your plate during every meal.
  • Learn appropriate portion sizes.
