Tip of the Day
Americans of Every Heritage Should Eat Green
Celebrate St. Patrick's Day — and this year's National Nutrition Month theme, "Get Your Plate in Shape" — with green fruits and vegetables.
Dark-green vegetables supply plenty of nutrients like vitamins C and K and folate, just to name a few. Here are a few examples of green to add to your plate:
- Fruit: avocado, apples, grapes, honeydew, lime, kiwi, pears
- Vegetables: cucumber, artichoke, asparagus, broccoli, green beans, green peppers, kale
