Tip of the Day
Drink Water Before Meals to Aid in Weight Loss
Drinking a large glass of water with your meals is smart, but it might be beneficial for you to drink a glass of water before your meal.
A study published in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics found that adults who drank a large glass of water before meals ate an average of 75 fewer calories at that meal. While it might not seem like much, a 75 calorie deficit at lunch and dinner may lead to more than 14 pounds lost during a year!
If you struggle to drink enough water, try adding limes, lemons or cucumbers for additional taste.
