Tip of the Day
Keep Your Children's Teeth Healthy
According to research, the average teenage boy in the U.S. consumes 81 gallons of soft drinks each year. February marks National Children's Dental Month, a time to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. Developing good oral habits at an early age is vital, as well as learning which foods promote oral health and overall health.
Follow these tips to reduce your children's risk of tooth decay and promote overall good health:
- Instead of soft drinks or sugary juices, children should drink water or low-fat milk.
- Avoid foods or snacks with a lot of added sugars.
- If your kids chew gum, make it sugarless.
