Foods Blocking the Finish Line

Are you trying to shed some extra pounds or just eat healthier? You might be sabotaging your eating plan with some of these foods:

  1. Appetizers
    Fried mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers and nachos might seem like they fit into your eating plan because they are usually shared with the table, but they are high in fat and calories.
  2. Frozen Dinners
    Pastas, pizza and even frozen dinners that claim to be low-fat often contain high amounts of sodium, which may cause bloating, water retention and other health complications.
  3. Snack Foods
    Chips, cookies and crackers are high in fat and it can be difficult to eat just one.
  4. Beverages
    Regular sodas, smoothies and coffee drinks are often high in calories and sugars. Stick to water, flavored water, non-fat milk or tea.
