What Fish are Rich in Omega-3 Fatty Acids?

Omega-3 fatty acids are found in some fatty fish and in some plant sources such as walnuts, canola and soybean oils and flaxseed. Current dietary recommendations are to include fish in your meals at least twice a week. Fish high in omega-3 fats are salmon, tuna (fresh and canned) and mackerel. Pregnant women, nursing mothers and young children should avoid certain fish and eat types lower in mercury.
