Your health is more important than your weight. Healthy people come in all shapes and sizes, so it is nearly impossible to truly figure out your ideal body weight. Instead, what is important is how healthy you are. Numbers that may be a better indicator of your health are your blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides and blood sugar. A healthy weight can be obtained through a balanced diet that includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, low-fat or fat-free dairy and daily physical activity.

Consider meeting with a registered dietitian to determine your personal, attainable healthy weight goal and ways you can meet that goal.
