The world's largest annual meeting of food and nutrition professionals, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' 2012 Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo, will be held October 6 to 9 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
FNCE attracts more than 8,000 registered dietitians, nutrition science researchers, policy makers, health-care providers and industry leaders for four days of cutting-edge nutrition science research and educational presentations, lectures, debates, panel discussions and culinary demonstrations, along with more than 350 food and nutrition-related exhibitors.
"The Academy's annual conference provides an invaluable opportunity to gather registered dietitians together with other food and nutrition professionals for four days of learning and networking, all with the goal of improving the health and lifestyles of Americans," said registered dietitian and Academy President Ethan A. Bergman.
"From the federal government to local communities, and from the farm to the dinner table, the nutritional health of Americans is one of the most important public health issues we face as a society. The Academy's annual conference provides the opportunity for the experts in virtually all aspects of food and nutrition to come together and seek solutions," Bergman said.
For the news media, the Academy's annual conference is the best opportunity to meet and hear directly from the authorities on the latest in nutrition science research; current developments in public policy and legislation; research and product developments from exhibitors; and the most recent consumer food and nutrition education initiatives.
Journalists are welcome and encouraged to cover the Academy's conference. To pre-register for media credentials, visit www.eatright.org/fnce. For more information, call 800/877-1600, ext. 4769 or 4806, or email email@example.com.
