Synopsis of the App

CeliacFeed is an app that can be used to locate gluten-free restaurants and products and share gluten-free experiences and recommendations with others who have celiac disease or gluten intolerance.

Pros

  • Interactive map highlights the nearest restaurant with gluten-free products and interfaces with GPS system on phone.
  • Users can post photos with their recommendations and reviews of gluten-free restaurants.

Cons

  • Only useful in larger cities as the database isn’t comprehensive (found only four listings in a large city’s 25-mile radius)
  • Only had one or two reviews for each restaurant and no criteria for grades

Bottom Line

I don't believe this app is helpful in identifying the many restaurants that can cater to gluten-free customers, nor were there many reviews that would encourage me go to the restaurants.
