2010 Public Policy Workshop - Participation

and Registration Information

 

Participation in Webinar Sessions

The Public Policy Workshop opening session will air live online March 22. Following the opening session, seven live Webinars are scheduled over the next four weeks. Join fellow ADA members across the nation as you hone your advocacy skills - at an affordable price.

Webinars will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. (Central) and will be recorded. Archived sessions will be available for viewing on the ADA Web site.

Non-members and Students

RDs who are not ADA members and/or dietetics students are invited and encouraged to attend the Kickoff Parties with members and are welcome to register for Public Policy Workshop Webinar sessions.

 

Individual Webinar Registration

ADA members watching the March 22 Opening Session on their own and not attending a Kick-Off Party or other group setting receive pay only $19 to register for the opening session, a significant discount off the regular price of $89. If, at the time of registration for the Opening Session, you also register for any of the other Public Policy Workshop Webinars, a further discount of $19 is awarded. In other words, register for one or more Webinars (in addition to the Opening Session), and the Opening Session is free. This special offer is available only until March 1.

The non-member registration fee for viewing individual sessions is $89. The Opening Session discount offer also applies to non-members and students.

1.5 CPEUs will be issued for each Webinar viewed at the individual rate, including the Opening Session.

 

Group Webinar Registration

State affiliates are organizing Public Policy Workshop Kick-Off Parties. These parties a great way to network with other registered dietitians, have fun and participate in planning meetings to Congressional district offices. Contact your affiliate Public Policy Coordinator for more information to participate in a Kick-Off party in your state.

Only hosts and those arranging other group sessions need to pay the group rate of $89. Those attending the parties and group sessions do not need to register and pay a fee online. Certificates for 1.5 CPEUs will be sent to the host of the group session for distribution to attendees. If you attend a group session, be certain you give the host your name and e-mail to receive your certificate.

Groups can also take advantage of the discount for the Opening Session if the host registers for one or more Webinars at the group rate. This option may be particularly attractive for groups of employees viewing at your worksites.
