Research on US Family Nutrition and Physical Activity
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation has twice fielded a survey to investigate current beliefs and habits among US families and children surrounding nutrition and physical activity. The State of Family Nutrition and Physical Activity Report reveals the current realities of kids' and families' eating and activity behaviors in the US and is based on a survey conducted in February 2010.

Family Nutrition and Physical Activity (FNPA) Online Screening Tool
The FNPA is a tool developed as a result of an ongoing research partnership of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and its Foundation with Iowa State University. The instrument includes items that evaluate family policies and environments that influence children’s physical activity, diet and sedentary behavior and can predict potential adverse changes in a child’s risk for overweight.
