Healthy Snacking Toolkit and Mini-Grants

Healthy Snacking Toolkit RD Mini-Grants Awarded!

Twenty-five RDs were selected to receive a mini-grant to provide presentations in their communities from the Kids Eat Right Healthy Snacking toolkit.

The Healthy Snacking Toolkit was made available by an educational grant from The American Pistachio Growers. Members from the Food and Culinary Professionals; Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition; and School Nutrition Services Dietetic Practice Groups participated in the development of the toolkit.

Additional Kids Eat Right RD Mini-Grants Awarded

We are pleased to announce that in response to the high volume of RD mini-grant applications, one of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics sponsors, Academy Partner, The Coca-Cola Company, is providing support to award additional Kids Eat Right Campaign Volunteer RD mini-grants.

The RDs receiving the $200 mini-grants will implement two presentations from the Healthy Breakfast and Healthy Snacking toolkits in schools and communities across the U.S. between December 1, 2011 and March 31, 2012.

The toolkit is available to all Campaign Volunteers. The toolkit consists of ready-made presentations, activities and handouts for 10 different audiences. Go to Toolkit »
