Donate an item to the FNCE Silent Auction!
Thanks to generous supporters, the Foundation raised over $17,000 last year at FNCE to continue our scholarships, awards, research and public education programs focused on creating healthier lifestyles for children and their families. The auction is a great way to promote your company to the over 8,500 registered dietitians, dietetic technicians, registered diabetes educators, food service buyers/managers, patient counselors and culinary professionals who attend FNCE. Please confirm your intent to make a donation by July 2, 2012 to Linda Hudson and we will include your name in the FNCE onsite program book as a donor.
Please contact Susie Burns, Senior Director, Academy Foundation Sponsorships at 312/899-4752, or e-mail sburns@eatright.org to find out which opportunity is right for you! Click here to learn more! All of the above are great ways to give back while increasing your exposure!
Giveaways, Book Signings and More!
Promotions, Prize Awards, Drawings and Contests
Promotional giveaways are a great way to draw attendees to your booth. Prize awards, drawings, contests and other such traffic builders will be permitted by the Academy upon completion of our application by August 24, 2012. Exhibitors must provide a detailed description of what will be taking place and being awarded. No promotions, contests or drawings may involve the solicitation or collection of fees, contributions, or monetary payments, whether for the Exhibitor or for any third party, including a charitable organization related to the Exhibitor. Promotions, contests and/or drawings must be solely for the promotion of the exhibiting company. An exhibitor cannot solicit other exhibitors at the Expo for participation in any promotion, contest and/or drawing. Prizes for drawings and contests must keep within the professional nature of the Expo and must not exceed $500 in value.
Book-Signings
If an exhibitor wishes to hold a book-signing within their booth, they can only hold these demonstrations during unopposed exhibit hours. In order for an Exhibitor to be approved to hold a book-signing within their booth, their allotted space needs to be a minimum of a 20 x 20 (400 square feet). Again, all traffic-builders, demonstrations, book-signings and/or prize drawings must be approved by submitting the Application for Promotions and Giveaways to the Academy.
Trade Show Tip: Booth Staffing
Used by permission of Skyline Exhibits, www.skyline.com
According to Skyline Exhibits, your booth staff is an impression of your brand. Good staffing can boost sales and build positive relationships with attendees, while poor staffing can be a waste of your company’s time. There are strategies for assembling a great team to get the most of your tradeshow experience! Make sure to inform your staffers on proper booth etiquette and the tradeshow industry. Let them know the investment your company is making, and the importance of a motivated and knowledgeable staff. Furthermore, make sure they know your product! It is important to choose staffers who want to be there and know what to share with attendees in a short amount of time to hold their attention.
