FAQs about New Positions: Proposed Positions

How Do I Propose a Position Topic?

Proposed Position Concept Form

Position Papers can be proposed by individuals or organizational units (e.g, Affiliate dietetic association, dietetic practice group, etc.) by completing the Proposed Position Concept Form. The completed form is then sent to staff at Academy Headquarters, who review it prior to submitting it to the Association Position Committee. The Association Position Committee will review the position concept using the Evaluation Checklist prior to voting on whether to accept or reject the proposal. If the committee approves the proposed position, it is forwarded on to the House of Delegates for further review.

The Proposed Position Concept Form is designed to assist in evaluating and defining a proposed concept to ensure it meets the criteria for an association position.
