  Members can opt to receive a daily e-mail providing a quick review of the nation's leading food, nutrition and health headlines, with links to articles.

• Evidence Analysis Library—

  Provides quick and ready access to the latest and best scientific and evidence-based information, including summaries of research in diseases and conditions like childhood overweight hyperlipidemia and critical illness.

• Hot Topics—

  Read these short, concise, scientifically based answers to questions RDs/DTRs may receive. Hot Topics are not Academy positions. They are meant to assist RDs/DTRs in answering quick questions of patients/clients and the media with scientifically sound information.

• Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics—

  The Journal is the premier source for the practice and science of food and nutrition. Each month, it offers in-depth research and practice information, opportunities for continuing professional education and more. The complete Journal online has a database of issues back to 1993, and many extra features. A table of contents for each new issue is e-mailed right to your inbox.

  For your routine questions, dues payments, or to place catalog orders, the Academy Member Service Center provides streamlined communications, via a live voice answering the Academy telephones at 800/877-1600, ext. 5000, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central.

• New In Review—

  New in Review compiles abstracts and citations from nearly 200 different scientific and professional publications to convey fundamental knowledge in nutritional science that spans the specialty practice fields of all members. An e-mail reminder and link is sent monthly so all the latest in food and nutrition research is right at your fingertips.

• Nutrition Care Manual® (NCM®)—

  Created and peer reviewed by specialty area experts, NCM is an online diet manual that includes tools for nutrition risk screening, nutrition diagnosis and prescription, printer-friendly patient materials, calculators, a formulary of nutritional solutions and more. NCM meets the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Interpretive Guidelines for hospital certification and Joint Commission standards of accreditation. Additionally, the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) has named NCM as its preferred diet manual. Members receive a special discount.

• Nutrition Fact Sheets/Eat Right Messages—

  An online and print nutrition education program that is available on the Academy's Web site as print-ready, two-page handouts in PDF format. Content includes a statement promoting registered dietitians and a special section where members can include personalized contact information.
