Public Policy Awards

ANDPAC and the Academy's Legislative Public Policy Committee jointly recognize superior leadership in public policy advocacy and advocacy education with two awards, presented annually at the Public Policy Workshop.

Each award is very different, but they both acknowledge superior work in public policy and education.

in Dietetics Education

Purpose

Recognize member(s) of congress who support nutrition and health issues

Eligibility

Any member of Congress who has exhibited support for efforts to strengthen public policy in the areas of nutrition, food, health care and public health and has an impact on key policy issues and is accessible to Academy members and staff.

Purpose

Recognize outstanding examples of dietetics programs with learning outcomes in policy advocacy and political action.

Eligibility

Any dietetics program that demonstrates successful learning outcomes in policy advocacy and/or political action and is accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
