Substantially Equivalent International Program in Dietetics (ITC)

Below are four international programs in dietetics that have been granted Substantial Equivalency.

Substantial Equivalency is granted to dietetics programs located in colleges or universities outside the U.S. and its territories based on review of an eligibility application, self-study and site visit by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). Substantial Equivalency recognizes that the program as reviewed is comparable in content and experience to a US-based program meeting the ACEND accreditation standards.

Programs granted substantial equivalency provide the required dietetics coursework and at least 1200 hours of supervised practice within an academic program leading to a bachelor's or graduate degree. Graduates of Substantially Equivalent Programs who are verified by the program director are eligible to write the Commission on Dietetic Registration examination for dietitians in the US.

Program information and application forms should be requested directly from the program director.
